INTELLIGENT DOCUMENT PROCESSING (IDP)
Intelligent Document Processing refers to the automated processing of unstructured data from documents of all kinds using machine learning.
In practice, IDP can be used in a wide variety of areas: In incoming mail when sorting incoming documents into categories and assigning them to the responsible processor, when processing invoices, when analysing contracts, in applicant management, when processing forms, etc.
The process can be divided into three main functions:
- Classification: Here, the document is categorised, for example whether it is an invoice, a delivery note or a contract.
- Extraction: This is where specific data and information is captured and determined from the document. This can be, for example, the document number, document date, document items or other relevant details.
- Processing: The classified and extracted data is now ready for processing in your ERP system. For example, delivery bills or goods receipts can be posted and invoices generated.
The results of using IDP are time and cost savings, an improvement in data quality, an increase in productivity, an improvement in service quality and data protection. And: IPD can be combined with technologies such as RPA and thus significantly expand the areas in which automation is used.

PROCESS MINING
Process mining is a relatively new technology that enables companies to visualise their operational processes transparently and gain valuable insights from actual process data. Unlike traditional process analysis methods, process mining is not based on assumptions or manual interviews, but utilises existing data sets to precisely reconstruct the actual state of processes.
Process mining can be used in a variety of actual situations in which transparency, efficiency and error minimisation are of central importance, e.g. in combination with S4/HANA transformations. Whether in logistics, customer service or finance, process mining makes it possible to identify process weaknesses and derive targeted optimisation measures.
In practice, the use of process mining is extremely simple. We integrate the process mining software seamlessly into your existing IT infrastructure and let it do its work. The technology automatically analyses the process data and visualises the processes in easy-to-understand diagrams. This allows you to immediately identify and optimise bottlenecks, waiting times and inefficient loops.
The result is improved process quality, reduced throughput times and increased customer satisfaction. In addition, cost savings can be realised as unnecessary work steps are eliminated and resources can be used more efficiently.

CHATBOTS
We are all familiar with chatbots from websites or apps. Robots provide answers to frequently asked questions - without us having to trudge through FAQs or help pages, but also without being dependent on the capacities and working hours of employees in hotlines or call centres. Chatbots can also support your employees in their daily work in your business processes.
Using UiPath's Automation Suite, chatbots can act as an interface between your employees and the RPA bots. An example: The employee asks a chatbot for an invoice. The chatbot collects the required information and forwards it to an RPA bot, which in turn retrieves the invoice from the system and sends it to the employee.
