In just 14 months, Jacques’ enterprise resource planning has been converted to SAP Retail on HANA!

With its more than 300 depots, Jacques’ Wein-Depot is changing from a classic vine retailer to an omni-channel provider while constantly growing into eCommerce as well.

Thus, due to the increasing complexity of the processes the demands on the IT system landscape are changing, too, its main applications consisting primarily of individually developed software solutions when we started our cooperation in 2015.

As part of the program management, and with the support of consenso, Jacques’ developed an IT roadmap aiming at the standardisation of the systems as well as the enhancement of the omni-channel processes.

The program started with a project replacing the old ERP solution by SAP Retail on HANA – including the introduction of S/FIN 1605 and SAP PO/PI.

Together with consenso as implementation partner the project was successfully completed within a period of only 14 months.

Realisation followed consenso’s prototypical project procedure model allowing to introduce the new system to the business experts at an early stage. In the course of the project, the end-to-end processes and existing interfaces were collected and transformed, and the business departments were trained.

Throughout the entire term, the system implementation was characterised by a very good collaboration between Jacques’ employees, SAP and consenso’s consultants and developers. In addition to external logistics, individual solutions in the fields of CRM, POS, online shop and intranet were connected to the new ERP system.

All in all, the replacement of the existing ERP solution by SAP marks the realisation of the first milestone of the IT roadmap, thus building the basis for the next program step: the implementation of SAP CAR and an omni-channel POS solution by GK. This will be the next project implemented by Jacques’ in cooperation with consenso.
